Introduction
Rebranding wasn’t a marketing decision for me.
The summer of 2025 forced me to sit with a hard truth: I knew what I was building, but I wasn’t communicating it in a way that matched my actual experience or truly: my resilience. I was still trying, in subtle ways, to make my work fit into boxes that made other people more comfortable or was "digestible".
And it was costing me the future I asked for.
Main Discussion
I’ve spent years executing economic, workforce, and community development work across different sectors: corporate, public sector, nonprofit, and with startups. For me, I am hyper focused on execution, not aesthetics. But somewhere along the way, I realized my brand had become…unclear to many. People knew who I was and what I did, but rarely could point directly to my work.
That summer made it impossible to ignore.
I was holding a clear long-term vision for my business, but I was also learning—sometimes the hard way—that growth requires letting go of the need to be easily categorized. I don’t fit neatly into “consultant,” “producer,” “founder,” or “community builder.” I’m all of those, and the work only makes sense when I stop downplaying that complexity.
Rebranding in 2026 is about owning that fully.
It’s about standing in my skill set unapologetically. I know how to design programs, negotiate partnerships forward, manage details, and communicate across objectives.I know how to deliver under pressure. Pretending otherwise just to be 'relatable' was never going to get me to the things I love to do.
The other lesson this season taught me is that real growth comes from leading with value for others first, without over-explaining. When you focus on being useful, being clear, and being consistent, the right people don’t need convincing.
This rebrand isn’t about becoming someone new.
Bebe Lami is the most honest representation of my work, my experience, and my resilience to date. It gives me the room to build without shrinking and to grow without asking permission.
Key Takeaways
If you’ve ever felt like your growth required you to stop fitting into boxes that were never built for you, you’re not behind. You’re just early in becoming more confident.
